I wouldnt call it blackened death but it certainly has the bleak dark atmosphere akin to Akhlys or Watain while pummeling you with pure death metal and a touch of dissonance and doominess á la Morbid Angel..it really combines almost everything i love about metal and theres not a weak spot on here..their first album was good but this is stylistically much different and a vast improvement. This Italian take on Swe-death will beat the piss out of you with OSDM styled riffs fit to tenderize and brutalize. Helslave build on a tried-and-trve death metal formula, giving us the old-school satisfaction we crave, yet with enough novelty to enthrall time and again.
Delve into these sulphuric depths and take your pummeling, it's worth every bruise!
